I make things UP.
Then I make them.

Hi, i’m maggie

I’m a screenwriter and filmmaker with a soft spot for strange people, messy lives, dark humor, and stories that take a left turn when they probably should have gone right.

I spent years behind the scenes making television and production happen before realizing I also had a lot of stories of my own to tell. Turns out, all that time solving problems, managing chaos, and working with wonderfully complicated people was pretty good training for writing them.

I write features, television, horror, comedy, drama — and whatever lives in the uncomfortable space between them.

I like stories with heart. I just don't mind if they draw a little blood.

But you’re probably here for the stories.

“Maggie is one of those rare producers who can move seamlessly between the creative and practical sides of filmmaking. She brings intelligence, tenacity, and an extraordinary level of care to every project - and knows how to help achieve a filmmaker’s vision (as writer and filmmaker herself) while getting the work done”

Co-Founder/Producer M&MDB Films

“Maggie Colligan writes stories that are a joy to shoot. Quirky, efficient story telling with enough oddity and intrigue to spark my imagination into creating unique imagery. An undertone of cultural relevance seals the deal.

Absolutely some of the most fun I’ve had working on set is with Maggie and her visions."
